Metrics + Outcomes w/ Door94 + Volunteers for Salesforce
PREP-KC’s mission is to create and implement strategies that improve college and career preparation for Kansas City’s urban students. Serving as an intermediary partner, PREP-KC brings together education, industry and volunteers in order to build relationships, curriculums and opportunities for over 22,000 students. They strive to prepare students for a sophisticated and ever-changing workforce through academic benchmarking, career academies, and college prep.
Purpose
Craftsman was engaged to deploy Door94 and Volunteers for Salesforce in a shared environment. As a key component of PREP-KC’s strategy, improved volunteer management would grow the organization’s pool of volunteers to enhance programming administered through Door94.
Craftsman ensured PREP-KC’s data was compatible across solutions – enabling the ability to report on participation, metrics and outcomes. Other project requirements included the ability to collect and track enrollment information, event attendance and student data.
Project Details
The objective of the five month project was to deploy both solutions in parallel. Initial co-design occurred over two months, during which Craftsman and Door94 worked together to set up the environment that would be shared with Volunteers for Salesforce. The work performed at this stage provided clarity on how the two solutions would interact. In the final three months Craftsman deployed the solutions and provided initial training and support for the PREP-KC staff.

PREP-KC is on the Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP). Volunteer intake forms are created and managed through Volunteers for Salesforce. Door94 is the Salesforce-based program management solution.
