Deploy Congregation Connect Management System

Temple Beth Shalom (TBS) is a dynamic, caring community. TBS encourages you to invite family and friends to share the unique warmth and spiritual richness of our congregational life. TBS offers our members a variety of ways to make a personally meaningful and joyful connection to Judaism through participation in worship, life celebrations, learning and community service.

Purpose

Temple Beth Shalom (TBS) used a dozen disparate systems to manage operations at the synagogue. Separate systems meant separate data sources and wide variation on process. The purpose of this project was to bring these systems together and align around a unified set of processes. In doing so, TBS expected more consistent reporting of revenue, operational and financial efficiencies, improved data capture and, as a result, a greatly improved member experience.

Project Details

Temple Beth Shalom (TBS) saw its peers in the Boston Metro region adopting a common solution: Congregation Connect; a Salesforce Application. TBS recognized that it did not have the internal capacity to effectively manage the project from beginning to end. Craftsman provided a short, pre-project planning effort to capture requirements and form the internal team for the project. Craftsman remained in place as TBS’ Project Manager and technical adviser. Craftsman would also extend the core build with customization and additional configuration to resolve any outstanding project issues.

Tools + Technology

Craftsman supported the deployment of Congregation Connect. Congregation Connect is a Salesforce-based congregation management system. Craftsman inherited the initial deployment from a prior partner. Craftsman would extend the core build by adding payment transaction processing tools and improving the membership self-service portal using Magentrix.
