Managed Services w/ Nonprofit Success Pack

Jewish Community Relations Council’s (JCRC) purpose is to define and advance the values, interests, and priorities of the organized Jewish community of Greater Boston in the public square. To achieve its shared values effectively, JCRC and the Greater Boston Jewish community work toward a strong infrastructure of community relations, articulated through building the community’s connection and commitment to civil society, developing the next generation of Jewish leaders, weaving a strong network of Jewish organizations, and investing in deep ties with actors in the public square.

Purpose

JCRC adopted Salesforce to manage fundraising, special events and to organize community contacts. However, as time passed, the organization found itself unable to fully realize its vision for the platform. External integrations appeared to be corrupting – not adding to – existing data, end-users entered information inconsistently, and enthusiasm for the system was fading. JCRC realized it did not have the internal capacity to administer the system. Finding, developing, and retaining talent was difficult for an organization of its size.

Ongoing Partnership

Craftsman was initially engaged to manage immediate challenges – removing clutter and standardizing the way data is collected. Then, Craftsman was retained to help JCRC work towards its original goals through effective administration of its CRM. By providing Salesforce Administration, Craftsman continues to augment staff resources during peak activities, such as during gala season.

Craftsman resources solve lingering issues, provide documentation and training, and generally boost confidence in the system. Craftsman’s Team ensures support needs are met, operations are running smoothly, and improvements are ongoing.

Tools + Technology

JCRC is using the Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack. Click & Pledge is integrated as an external donation form and for event registration. Mailchimp is JCRC’s email utility. Duplicate Checker and Demand Tools are part of the administration toolkit in the instance.
