Project Manager

Boston, MA (hybrid) or virtual (contiguous US)

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Professional Services team who will bring these same values and passion to help nonprofit organizations. A Project Manager is a client-facing full-time salaried intermediate-level position.

Job Summary:

In this forward-looking, proactive role, you will oversee all aspects of our nonprofit clients’ projects and be responsible for managing six to ten projects at a time, dependent on size and complexity. You will drive projects forward and be an advocate for successful outcomes that serve both the client and the team’s priorities.

With your strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will build trusted advisor relationships with our clients and take the lead on managing crucial project conversations effectively. You will provide transparency around budget, schedule and scope while navigating technical or organizational complexity, with the higher goal of guiding effective decision-making that supports the key project objectives.

You will nurture a collaborative environment for your project teams, identifying and removing obstacles to productivity and integrating interdependent workstreams. You will provide the long-range view and the objective perspective your teams need to deliver great work on time and on budget.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Guide a client’s project team to successful completion of a project
  • Provide leadership on large, multi-faceted projects
  • Lead project kickoff, planning and status meetings, both internal and client-facing
  • Be accountable for driving, monitoring and controlling project activities
  • Oversee project schedules and budgets
  • Guide and drive effective decision-making
  • Identify and remove barriers to productivity for project team
  • Promote effective communication across teams and stakeholders
  • Build trusted relationships with clients
  • Manage all aspects of change throughout a project
  • Participate in the development and review of project deliverables
  • Participate in portfolio review and team resourcing activities
  • Contribute to firm’s institutional knowledge
  • Other duties in support of project or firm objectives

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working within or alongside the nonprofit sector
  • Experience managing complex technology projects, ideally Salesforce CRM or another CRM deployments
  • Experience working closely with Salesforce
  • Experience managing relationships with clients or external stakeholders
  • Flexibility to travel on occasion

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience managing projects
  • PMP Certification (required within one year of start date)
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator (required within one year of start date) and Nonprofit Cloud Conultant (required within 18 months of start date) credentials.
  • Expert knowledge of business processes in the nonprofit and/or community development sector.
  • Expert knowledge of project management tools such as Mission Control (Project Management for Salesforce), Liquid Planner, Confluence, Jira, MS Project, Base Camp, Projector PSA or equivalent

Salary:

$80,000 – $100,000
