BJ Cortis serves as the Principal of Craftsman Technology Group. He provides Executive Sponsorship on our project portfolio and Executive Partner to our Managed Services / Retainer clients. He leads our management team, sales + marketing, and supports the continued growth and development of the firm where needed. He also is the owner of the firm.
Today, BJ lives in Boston with his wife and two boys. When not at work, he enjoys renovating their historic – Craftsman Style – home, hiking and reading. He believes passionately in the power of small business to provide an outstanding environment where both work and people matter.
BJ founded Craftsman Technology Group in 2015. He has worked in the Salesforce Partner ecosystem since 2010. He worked with Blackbaud’s professional services division prior to that. Much of his first ten years he worked as an organizer – leading fundraising and field campaigns for nonprofits across the country.
He has worked with nonprofit organizations since 1997. He previously served on the boards of MASSPIRG and USPIRG. He also participated as a board member on local “tag” efforts to clean-up Superfund sites.
BJ holds a BA in Communications from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He also holds an MS in Project Management from Northeastern University and a Certificate in Project Management from Georgetown University. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
I believe in technology as a vehicle for social change – it can accelerate the mission of an organization and broaden its reach.
