I am thrilled to be joining over 1,500 colleagues at the Opportunity Finance Network (OFN) 2018 Conference on October 8th-11th. The conference, CDFIs: Agents of Change, will be held in Chicago and will bring together CDFI leaders and practitioners from across the country who focus on nonprofit and socially responsible lending. The industry has seen new growth in recent years, and the transformational impact of CDFIs will be a hot topic throughout the conference.
The conference agenda is packed with interesting sessions – I am especially looking forward to the following:
- Portfolio Management Fundamentals in the Digital Age. Learning how portfolio managers should leverage technology for maximum impact and efficiency while also honoring the client relationship.
- Your organization in the Evolving World of Social Impact Metrics. Understanding how CDFIs can more effectively measure, manage and optimize impact performance.
- Women in the CDFI Industry: What’s NEXT and How Do We Get There? Exploring strategies that ensure the CDFI community is diverse and inclusive.
- Disruptive Design: Reimagining Homeownership and Entrepreneurship for Community Wealth Building. Implementing sustainable solutions to solve the challenges of high building costs and how this can lead to wealth generating opportunities for communities.
And, of course, I cannot wait to do a bit of networking with like-minded colleagues and friends who share a passion for change and community development though access to capital and other resources.
